Yoga Events Calendar: Festivals, Conferences & Symposia
This calendar lists recurring yoga gatherings around the world — festivals, conferences, research symposia and expos — with the dates of their next edition whenever the organizer has announced them. It is meant as a starting point for planning: filter by type or region, then go to the official site of the event before you book anything.
How the dates are checked. Every date on this page comes from the organizer's own website, never from ticket resellers or event aggregators, which often keep placeholder dates for festivals that have moved or stopped. When an organizer has not published the next edition yet, the event appears under "next dates not announced yet" with its most recent edition instead of a guessed date. Once an edition has taken place, it drops out of the upcoming list automatically.

Festival, conference or retreat: which one fits you?
A yoga festival is usually a weekend of classes, talks and music with many teachers at once, often outdoors or at a resort; you choose sessions from a schedule. A conference or symposium is aimed at teachers, therapists and researchers: fewer open-level classes, more lectures, research presentations and continuing-education content. A retreat is a different format altogether — a small group with the same teachers for several days — and our retreats hub covers how to compare and vet one. One date is the same everywhere: the International Day of Yoga on June 21, proclaimed by the United Nations in 2014, when many cities host free public sessions.
Before you book
- Confirm the dates on the official site. Organizers move editions between seasons, and some events are biennial rather than annual.
- Check what the ticket includes. Festival passes rarely include accommodation or meals, and some sessions or workshops may be sold separately.
- Read the cancellation and weather terms, especially for outdoor and mountain events.
- If you need continuing-education credit, ask the organizer whether the sessions you plan to attend qualify before you register.
